My first visit to South Asia began with a touch of trepidation, wondering if my physical stamina would endure the ten days. Yet, embraced by the warmth of those I met, I have returned in excellent health and high spirits.

A Mysterious Order within Chaos

I was simply spellbound by the overwhelming vitality and spirit of the bustling streets.

Amidst what at first appeared to be chaotic daily life, there exists a generous trust that "all will be well in the end" and a mysterious order, which left me feeling a profound sense of inner liberation.

The sight of people living whilst respecting their own sacred traditions within a tapestry of diverse cultures and faiths, and the moments when unexpected encounters seamlessly blossomed into genuine connections, made this ten-day journey feel beautifully guided.

Reflecting on Japan from Afar

This business trip abroad, my first in two years, also provided a precious opportunity to reflect upon Japan from a fresh perspective.

To faithfully convey our aesthetic sensibilities and the true essence of Japan to the wider world, I feel a renewed desire to immerse myself further in our own cultural heritage and refine my sensibilities.
