Of Fabrics and Sizing
How long does the bespoke tailoring process take?
From your initial consultation to the final fitting, our bespoke process typically requires two to three months. Extraordinary creations, such as evening gowns or intricate lace ensembles, may require six months or more.
Should you have a specific date for which the garment is required, please advise us during your initial consultation so that we may plan your fittings accordingly.
Is it possible to accommodate an urgent request?
Should you require your garment urgently, please do not hesitate to contact us. Depending on our current schedule, we may be able to accommodate your request.
While bespoke tailoring naturally demands a certain measure of time, if you have a specific date in mind, we will gladly arrange our schedule to meet it.
How are measurements taken?
We look forward to welcoming you to our atelier for your personal fitting. Beyond simple measurements of length and width, we carefully observe the slope of your shoulders and your natural posture, as individual physical nuances greatly influence how a garment drapes and feels.
Should standing for extended periods prove tiring, please do let us know; we are delighted to accommodate you, keeping measurements taken whilst seated to ensure your utmost comfort.

What is the starting price for a bespoke commission?
The cost varies depending on the specific garment, design, and chosen fabric. We will provide a bespoke estimate once the silhouette and textiles have been decided during your consultation. Should you wish to share your budget, we would be delighted to offer refined proposals within that range.
Do prices vary depending on the chosen fabric?
Yes, the price range varies depending on the grade of the fabric. We curate only the finest textiles, sourced primarily from Europe, with prices differing by material. We would be delighted to guide you through the specific price ranges during your personal consultation.

May I select the fabrics? Are customer's own materials accepted?
Indeed. You may choose from our curated selection of the finest textiles, sourced primarily from Europe.
We generally recommend selecting from this collection. Should you wish to provide your own fabric, we will first assess its condition, yield, and suitability for the desired design. We are delighted to accommodate your request if the material is suitable. Please feel free to consult us in the first instance. (Please note that a handling fee applies to client-provided fabrics.)
Is it possible to view the fabric samples prior to our consultation?
Upon your visit, you are invited to browse our fabrics at your leisure.
A textile’s character often reveals itself differently in the hand than in a photograph. Its hue, too, shifts gracefully between natural light and the soft ambience of our salon. We invite you to experience their texture and weight in person.
Which sizes do you offer? (What is the range of sizes?)
As each garment is crafted precisely to your individual measurements, there are no standard sizes.
For those who have previously had to shorten the sleeves of ready-to-wear pieces, or simply endure a restrictive fit around the shoulders, we invite you to consult with us. Bespoke tailoring exists precisely for those who find that ready-made garments never quite feel entirely right.

Do you offer an alterations and remodelling service?
Yes, we are delighted to assist. Provided the garment was crafted by our atelier, we will gladly accept it for alterations, regardless of how many years have passed. As the silhouette naturally changes over time, adapting a piece to ensure it can be treasured for years to come is, we believe, the very essence of bespoke tailoring.
We are also pleased to consider alterations for ladies' bespoke garments created by other houses. Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your requirements.
Are consultations by appointment only?
We operate primarily by appointment. To ensure we can dedicate ample time to your consultation, we highly recommend booking in advance. Please consult our Instagram Stories for our current opening schedule.
May I book a consultation if this is my first bespoke commission?
Most of our clients are embarking on their very first bespoke experience.
It is by no means necessary to have a settled design in mind before you arrive.
We will explore your sartorial preferences, the occasions you wish to grace, and the essence of who you wish to be.
Through this gentle consultation, we shall curate and propose a singular, peerless piece designed exclusively for you.
Should you have inspiration images or cherished garments you wish to reference, you are most welcome to bring them, allowing us to weave your ideas into the design.
