Established in Osaka in 1957, Couture de PEARL is a bespoke womenswear atelier dedicated to the art of the made-to-measure commission.
Our story began in 1957, in a quiet corner of Daito City, Osaka, under the name Pearl Yosoten.
This modest salon marked the inception of our enduring heritage.
Throughout the seven decades spanning the vibrant post-war economic boom to the present day,
the world of women has undergone a profound transformation.
Their professional lives, social standing, and individual paths have evolved immeasurably.
Conscious of these subtle shifts, we have listened closely to the voices of our clientele, tailoring our creations to harmonize with their changing everydays.
In doing so, we have had the privilege of bringing countless unique pieces to life.
Whilst the functionality and silhouette of garments naturally evolve with the times,

Our Fabrics
We source the finest fabrics, predominantly from Europe, to offer you an exceptional selection of rare, comfortable natural fibres. Our collection includes exquisitely fluid Italian silks, Sea Island cottons that feel like a second skin, and double-faced cashmere showcasing artisanal hand-craftsmanship. To ensure elegance is effortless, we also provide a curated range of practical, easy-care materials, including washable wools and crease-resistant seersuckers. For occasion wear, we present a magnificent array of embroidered fabrics and delicate laces. We will guide you to the perfect selection to bring your bespoke vision to life.

By working in harmony with master craftspeople who share not only exceptional technical expertise but also a profound passion for beauty, a definitive aesthetic elegance is woven into the very fabric of every piece. Pattern making is entrusted to experienced cutters who have brought countless exquisite silhouettes to life, coaxing flat textiles into sculptural, three-dimensional forms. Through the process of toile fittings, the silhouette is further refined and perfected. The tailoring of each piece is then dedicated to the most suited specialist, selected specifically for the garment type, such as structured jackets and dresses, or by the nature of the cloth itself, whether delicate silk or fine wool.
